Tulum Nude Art & Yoga Photography
Sammm Next Door first stepped in front of my camera long before she became widely known as an adult model and creator. We met while traveling through Tulum, Mexico, where what started as a photography session quickly developed into something much more interesting.
Today, Sammm Next Door has built a recognizable presence as an independent adult creator and model, but this Room Noir feature documents an earlier chapter in her journey: a creative collaboration centered on photography, movement, yoga, and the natural beauty of Tulum.
Sammm Next Door in Tulum
Tulum has always been an inspiring place to make photographs. The combination of jungle, tropical light, architecture, beaches, and the relaxed energy of the Yucatán Peninsula creates an environment where traditional studio photography can be left behind.
That was the setting for my first shoot with Sammm Next Door.
We initially photographed a series of lingerie and swimsuit images before moving into a more natural artistic direction. Nina from Missfit Studios handled makeup for the session, while I photographed and filmed Sammm throughout the project.
What I didn’t know when we started was that Sammm had a strong background in aerial and acrobatic yoga.
Once I saw what she could do with movement and body control, the direction of the shoot changed immediately.
Sammm Next Door and Yoga
Yoga became one of the defining elements of our Tulum collaboration.
Sammm’s flexibility, balance, strength, and control allowed us to create images and video that were very different from a conventional model session. Rather than simply posing for the camera, she could use movement to create shapes and compositions within the frame.
That became particularly interesting when we began filming.
We created two different yoga sequences during the session. The first became the Bondage Yoga Flow, a stylized movement piece built around the lingerie she had worn during the photography portion of the shoot. (view the video below)
The second session moved into a more intimate environment and became the Shower Yoga Flow, an uncensored art film that explores movement, form, water, and the human body.

From Traveling Model to Adult Creator
Since our Tulum collaboration, Sammm Next Door has developed a significant audience as an adult model and independent content creator.
Her current public identity is closely associated with creator-owned adult entertainment, social media, and subscription content. She has also appeared in interviews discussing her transition into the adult industry and the development of the Sammm Next Door persona.
In a 2026 appearance on Plug Talk, Sammm discussed the origin of the “Next Door” name and how the idea was connected to presenting a more natural, approachable persona rather than a highly produced image.
That evolution makes the Tulum photographs particularly interesting in retrospect.
Room Noir’s photographs were created before Sammm became as widely recognized within the adult entertainment industry. The work captures her as a traveling model and yoga practitioner, experimenting with movement and artistic nude photography in a completely different environment.
Contemporary Fine Art Photography in Tulum
The purpose of this project was never simply to document nudity.
Room Noir approaches the human form through contemporary fine art photography, using light, movement, composition, environment, and storytelling to create images that exist somewhere between portraiture, editorial photography, and figurative art.
Tulum provided the perfect environment for that approach.
Sammm’s ability to move naturally between still poses and difficult yoga positions gave the camera something more dynamic to work with. The photographs became studies of shape, balance, flexibility, and physical expression, while the films extended that same visual language through movement.
This is what makes the Sammm Next Door collection different from her current adult work.
These photographs come from a specific moment in her modeling career and from a collaboration created around travel, photography, yoga, and artistic exploration.
